The company was established in March 1956, its precursor was road-overhaul, belonged to Vietnam National Administration of Railway. Under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, officers and staff of the Company from one generation to another, have increasingly taken care of, developed and contributed their spirit and effort to the cause of construction and development of the Railway sector.
In period of innovation process, entire its officers and staff have quickly adapted to market mechanism, maintained stability and made increasing development. It owns teams of qualified officers and skillful workers, an advanced and modern line of equipment for road and railway execution. The Company has so far participated in several bidding events and awarded a number of great bidding ones with qualified works by proper schedule of execution, and highly appreciated by the owners, namely: Overhaul works Hanoi – Lao Cai railway, Hanoi- Ho Chi Minh city railway, Hanoi- Lang Son, Ho Chi Minh Trail, infrastructure stability of Middle region railway of Vietnam, expanded the national highway N01 Trung Luong - My Thuan section, building Sai Gon - Trung Luong highway, road of southern Hau river, upgrading national highway N012 at Dien Bien province, the other mechanical components in service of execution, monoblock prestressed - concrete sleepers kind TN1, LW, LDP, etc.
To implement Decision No. 4446/2002/QD-BGTVT dated 31/12/2002 by Ministry of Transport and Communication, on Oct 1st, 2003 the Company officially transmitted from State-owned enterprise in to Construction Joint Stock Company No 6 with legal capital of 47.918.775.000 VND.
With consideration of top-priority quality, the company has successfully developed quality management system under ISO 9001-2000 and granted ISO 9001-2000 by TUV CERT of TUV anlagentechnik GmbH on January 7th, 2004.
In order to ensure quality of construction and product, the Company has established Laboratory for testing and checking quality of construction and has been assessed and found to conform with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:1999 for field of accreditation Civil – engineering by Directorate for standards and quality on January 7th, 2005.
Prestressed concrete sleepers kind TN1-P, TN1, LW and LDP are made by Company, has granted conform to standard of EN 13230-2: 2002 by Directorate for standards and quality on April 13th, 2006.
Currently, the company has sufficient capacity to execute traffic works, industrial, civil and irrigation works well as residential areas, urban areas, manufacture of building materials, structural steel, already-cast concrete members, plastic concrete, mechanical products, etc with high quality.
Over the past 54 years of development and growth, the Company has been honored to receive several precious titles, namely; The First-rank Labor Medal, 1994; The Heroic Labor Unit, 1996; People’s Armed Forced Heroic Unit, 1998; First-rank Independence Medal, 2001. Ho Chi Minh Medal, 2005. The female Team 609 of the Company was also awarded title of Heroic Unit in 1972.
With its capacity, the company can carry out many types of work with high technical requirement,good quality and fast progress.
